Dr. Kafer

Dr. Enid Rosemary Kafer went to paradise with her Lord and Maker on Sunday, May 17, 2015, just 10 days shy of her 78th birthday. Dr. Kafer was a proud Australian citizen who was raised near Sydney. She graduated from the University of Sydney as a medical doctor. She went on to earn multiple PHD's, Masters and Bachelor degrees from the University of San Francisco and UNC Chapel Hill. She was an anesthesiologist at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital for 35 years. Dr. Kafer is survived by a loving brother and sister-in-law, David and Nola Ross; a beautiful niece, Michele all of Port Macquarie New South Wales, Australia. She is also survived by her special chosen American family, the Scarlett's, Tammy, Jacob and Lucas Scarlett and Aaron Ross. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Kafer and Edna Thomson Kafer and a brother, Barry Kafer. Dr. Kafer was still very active in the business world as an Equine Design Consultant, owner of Carolina Barn Company, LLC. Her pride in life was her work in the Equestrian Community. She will be missed deeply by her five horses, six cats and her drop in dog "Dude". There will be a celebration of her strength throughout her life at her residence on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 7:00pm. All friends and neighbors are invited to attend.
