Doyle Roberts, Sr.

Doyle Thomas Roberts, Sr., 65, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital. He was born December 13, 1949 in Gastonia, NC to the late James Baxter and Callie Biddix Roberts. He was the former owner of Doyle's Garage and Auto Sales. Doyle was a member of The Lamb's Chapel. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Oakes and husband Pete, Tina Britt and husband Tim and Tiffani Roberts; son, Thomas Roberts, Jr.; grandchildren, Callie Oakes, Lawson Oakes, Ayden Roberts and Kaylin Roberts; his twin brother, Hoyle Roberts and sisters, Debbie Hilliard and husband James and Faye Roberts. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Rev. Doug Roberts A service to celebrate his life will be held 4:00pm on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bill Gillispie. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:45pm prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
