Dorris Carlton “DC” Wilson, Jr., 75, also known as “Juggy” by his family, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Treasure Hills Nursing Center after 8 years of declining health. He was born on October 14, 1946 in Alamance County to the late Mildred Maedeene Tatum Wilson and Rev. Dorris Carlton Wilson, Sr. who survives.
DC was a retired self-employed contractor and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors other than his father Rev. Carlton Wilson include his children, Therese Linson and husband Steve, Donna Crotts and significant other Bobby Boggs, Wayne Wilson and Garland Wilson and wife Janet; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Ellen Ring, William Wilson and wife Terrie, Eddie Wilson and wife Drusilla; several nieces and nephews; and his longtime friend, Saraid "Sade" Karczewski. DC was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Timothy “Tim” Wilson and his brother-in-law, Larry Alan Ring.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Baynes Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Steve Pruitt. The family will receive friends following the service. You may come by Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday from 10am to 12:30pm to watch the video and sign the register book.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff at Treasure Hill for their loving care and support that was given to DC through the years.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Open Bible Baptist Church, 610 South Beaumont Ave., Burlington, NC 27217 or to Baynes Baptist Church Cemetery, 1757 Baynes Rd, Burlington, NC 27217.
