Dorothy Staley

Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth Huff Staley, age 89, of 2506 May Drive, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 at her home. A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Burley Huff and Roxie Crouch Huff. She was a homemaker, a member of Burlington Assembly of God and a longtime volunteer with Meals on Wheels. Survivors include her husband, Clifford Eugene "Gene" Staley of the home; daughers, Pat Kennedy of Chapel Hill, Marilyn Freeman and husband Ray, Anita Vigorito and husband Joe all of Greensboro and Becky Brown and husband Michael of Graham; grandchildren, Matt Kennedy, Becky Fittro, Karen Miller, Leslie Garwood, John Garwood, Staley Brown and Grady Brown; 4 great grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Huff and wife Inez of High Point. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 24, 2011 at the Burlington Assembly of God by Rev. Howard Thompson. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park in High Point. Mrs. Staley will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory where the family will receive friends from 7-8 Friday evening and other times at the residence.
