Dorothy Beal

Mrs. Dorothy McKinney "Dot" Beal, age 87, formerly of Malone Rd., passed away peacefully Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Hospice Home, while being surrounded by her daughters and family. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Pearson Brooks McKinney and the late Iona Kimbro McKinney and was married to her first husband the late Brodie James Terrell and then later married the late Robert Thomas Beal. She was retired from Rental Towel and Uniform and was a member of Friendly Lane Baptist Church. Dot is survived by three daughters, Jean Foster and her husband, Bobby, Janice Walters and Deborah Paschal and her husband, Terry, all of Burlington; ten grandchildren, Michael D. Terrell, Bonnie T. Gregory, Angela T. Bradshaw, Amy F. Reaves, Roddy L. Foster, Jason A. Foster, Joette W. Lee, Tonia P. Hughes, Cameron W. Paschal and Lindsey P. Perkins; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a brother, Charles McKinney of Burlington. She is preceded in death by both husbands; parents; son, Richard Dean Terrell; six sisters, Hattie Marshall, Erma Ward, Mildred McNeill, Louise Thomas, Elva Klinger and Lillian Ross; and one brother, Marvin McKinney. The funeral will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Massey, Rev. Craig Cox and Rev. Paul Scott. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter, Deborah Paschal, 2453 Hodges Rd., Burlington, NC.
