Doris Rebecca Hill Stutz, 89, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after months of declining health. She was born on April 18, 1931 in Alamance County to the late Elmo Ernest Hill and Ethel Inez Mitchell Hill, and was married to the late Clarence “Sambo” Stultz who died in 1995.
Doris retired as a manager with Burger King and formerly worked in textiles. She attended The Way Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Pam Boggs and Debbie Apple; granddaughter, Ashley Boggs; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Geise, Cheyenne Foster, Emily Apple and Kaylee Moize; sisters, Peggy Handy and Nancy Chrismon, several nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandson, Chad Foster; sisters, Bonnie Rivers and Melba Pegram; brother, Guy Hill; and son-in-law, Gerald Apple.
A private service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, April 30, 2020 by Pastor Matthew Clapp, with the burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. To watch the service live and to sign the online register book, please visit www.lowefuneralhome.com.
Doris will be available for viewing on Thursday from 8am to 1:30pm at the funeral home.
