Doris Stansell

Burlington, NC Doris Tidwell Stansell, age 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Alamance Health Care. She was born on December 16, 1927 in Belmont, NC and was the daughter of the late Nathan LeRoy and Wenona Baker Tidwell. Doris retired from Culp Weaving and was a member of West Burlington Church of God. She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda K. and Alton Younger of Gibsonville, Nancy Blanchard of Charlotte and Betty and Pete Wimbish of Burlington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen and Carolyn Tidwell of Graham and John and Joann Tidwell of Siler City; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mildred Hoyle and brothers, Richard and Rev. Clarence Tidwell, Jr. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Olin Tatum and the family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home of the daughter, Brenda K.
