Doris Sharpe

Whitsett, NC Mrs. Doris Sue Joyce "Toodie" Sharpe, 76, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Hospice Home after two months of failing health. She was born in Guilford County to the late Walter Lee Joyce and the late Beulah Ernestine Dezern Joyce and was married for 52 years to Hildred Frederick "Hilly" Sharpe who survives. Doris was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ. Survivors other than her husband of the home include her daughter and son-in-law, Donna S. and David O'Neal of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Tony Lynn and Kimberly Sharpe of Columbus, Ohio, Darrell Wayne Sharpe and Fianc, Cammie of Rock Hill, SC, Mike Edward Sharpe of the home; grandchildren, Christina O'Neal Starman, Amber Sharpe, Hannah Sharpe, Emma Sharpe and Jack Sharpe; great grandchildren, Christopher Martin and Kylie Sharpe; sisters, Edith Neese of Cape Coral, Florida, Belle Gerringer of Gibsonville and Joan May of Whitsett. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date, per Doris' wishes. The family will be at the home.
