Graham, NC Mother, Wife, Sister, Friend-Dora Bradsher Wilkerson ended her peregrination on this mundane World as she joined our Lord on April 12, 2012. Dora graduated from Western Carolina University in 1966. She was recently retired from CDC Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where she was an IT Specialist. Dora believed in the value of the established old-time work ethic, of life long friendships, of the sanctity in Christianity, and of the treasure in family commitment. Dora loved to read and to view movies. She is survived by her sons, Lt. Thomas Scott Wilkerson and his wife, Donna Harrell Wilkerson of Kodiak, Alaska and Steven Todd Wilkerson and his friend, Alyssa Cohn of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Chloe and Everett Wilkerson; sisters, Amy B. Latta and her husband, Mike of Graham and Esqurido B. Braddy and her husband, Jim of Graham; brothers, Benjamin Earle Bradsher, Jr. and his wife, Carol of Hillsborough and John Bradsher and his wife, Jackie of Hillsborough; sister-in-law, Ava Smith and her husband, Don of Durham, NC; nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and a special friend, Maureen Dolan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ormand Wilkerson and her parents, Benjamin Earle Bradsher, Sr. and Lelia Grace Kernodle Bradsher. The Wilkerson family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of Alamance-Caswell for their kind and compassionate care of Dora during her illness. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel and the family will receive friends from 1 until 1:45 pm prior to the service. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family will be at the residence at other times.
