Donna Gentry McCauley

Donna Gentry McCauley, 81, of Elon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Jim McCauley and the daughter of the late Guy and Maudie Gentry. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Guy.

Surviving are her husband, Jim McCauley; daughters, Beth Kimball and Marie McCauley; grandchildren, Jamie Bridges, Benji Pruitt, Elizabeth Pulley, Samuil Bailey and Rowan Ast; sister, Gina Gentry Dodd and a brother, Gary Gentry.

Donna worked in realty, insurance, and later in life went to college and earned a degree from Elon University. She loved being with her dog, "Houdini", and with her grandson, Benji. Donna enjoyed the beach, music, attending Elon sporting events with her husband, hanging out with special friend, Janice Wyrick and spending time with friends. Donna attended Westminster Presbyterian Church and Elon Community Church.

A funeral service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Burlington on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 4:00pm by Rev. Powell Sykes. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00pm prior to the service.
