Donna Hengl Lang

Donna Mae Erikson Lang, age 82, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Peak Resources. She was born in Iowa City, Iowa but spent most of her life in Galesburg, Illinois.

 Donna was an avid thrifter and loved to get a good deal. Her favorite thing to find was anything tie-dyed. She always wanted to help others and would have any item of something they might need. She took care of the elderly in their homes and volunteered at the food pantry in Galesburg, IL. Donna loved animals and would donate and give linens to the humane society. She loved gardening and would get a new plant whenever she could. She maintained and cherished the Appleton schoolhouse in rural Dahinda, Illinois for many years.

 She is survived by her grandchildren, Heather Cook and husband, Andrew, April Mulnix and her significant other, Daniel McKittrick and Jason Van Brocklin and wife, Trinity; great grandchildren, Trevor, Cale, Tiffany, Adalynn, Andrew, Isabella, Melody, Brinley and Brickston and her brother, Craig Hengl and wife, Tawny. She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Dorothy M. Gushanas.

 Donna will always be remembered for the love she had for her family and her fiery spirit.

 There will be no formal services at this time.
