Donald "Don" Williams

Graham - Donald Phillip "Don" Williams, 72, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. Don lost his battle fighting multiple cancers over several years. He was born on November 16, 1943 in Alamance County to the late Clyde Franklin Williams and Ruth Fox Williams and was the husband to Cynthia Allen "Cindy" Williams of 21 years who survives.

Don retired after 33 years of service with Glen Raven as the Director of Quality Assurance. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, spending time at the coast, and was a past Shriner.

Survivors other than his wife, Cindy A. Williams of the home include his sons, Christopher Todd Williams and Chadwick "Chad" Williams; daughter, Lisa Hayden; step daughter, Heather J. Pruitt and husband, Jason; many loving grandchildren, including Christopher Wrenn and Marisa Wrenn, and many loving great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandson; sister, Frances Sumner and her husband, Herb, who Don thought of as a brother; sister-in-law, Joanne Williams; and nephews, Steve Sumner and Michael Sumner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Tyra W. Wiles and Donna W. Wrenn; brothers, Franklin "Frank" Williams and Richard "Rick" Williams; niece, Melissa Williams; his best buddy, Charles Glenn Luquire.

The funeral service will be held 11:00am Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. James Rosser with the burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45am at the funeral home prior to the service on Tuesday and other times at the home.
