Donald Weaks

Donald Edward Weaks, 74, of Dew Sharpe Rd. passed away Thursday December 9, 2009 at Alamance Regional Medical Center following a year of failing health. He was married for fifty-four years to Erma Dell Friddle Weaks and was born January 15, 1935 in Rowan County to the late Chester A. Weaks, Sr. and the late Marjorie Ragsdale Weaks. Donald served in the US Army and retired from Ball Metals. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother that will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of the home, a daughter Alesia Hughes of Elon, grandchildren, Brittany Hughes, Christina Hughes and a brother Chester A. "Snookie" Weaks, Jr. and his wife Connie of Topsail Island. There will be a graveside service 12:30 PM Saturday at Alamance Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Tim Stevens.
