Donald Lee Rogers, 74, of Everette St. died on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the Hospice Home. He was born in Alamance County, son of the late Albert Hoyt and Bessie Rippy Rogers. Donald was a Christian, a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. He loved spending time with his family as his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and very proud of his country. He was a conscientious employee of Glen Raven Mills where he retired. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Allen Preddy of McLeansville and Jodi and Ricky Moody of Burlington; grandchildren, Robert Christopher Hurst, Kathryn Michelle Hurst and Jacob Daniel Danieley; step grandchildren, Christopher Neal Moody and Dustin Lee Moody; and a brother, H. M. Mike Rogers of Burlington. He was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Lee Rogers and David Anthony Rogers; a brother, Jack Gilbert Rogers; and his parents. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Massey with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Saturday evening at the funeral home and at other times at 204 Brighton Drive, Elon.
