Donald Morene

Donald Ray "Donnie" Morene, 61, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a short illness. He was born February 18, 1954 in Alamance County to Sarah Frances Huffines Morene who survives and the late Henry H. Morene. Donnie was a member of Wicker St. Baptist Church and he loved everyone and was loved by all who knew him. He had a kind and gentle soul. Survivors include his mother and step father Sarah Frances and Edgar Stutts of the home; sisters, Deborah Morene and Carolyn Morene both of Burlington, Bernice Newsome and husband Mike of Greensboro. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ricky Lewis. Interment will follow in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made Wicker St. Baptist Church, 512 Wicker St. Burlington, NC 27217.
