Dixie Lee Page Sartin, 78, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Peak Resources. She was born in Alamance County to the late Charlie Henry Page and the late Roberta Elizabeth Page. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be missed dearly. Dixie retired after 45 years as the owner and operator of Sartin's Beauty Shop. She was a life long member of Lakeview Community Church, attended Pleasant Grove High School and graduated from Walter Williams High School. Dixie was a well known business woman in Burlington and was well liked by everyone that knew her. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Gaye Sartin, Wes and Anita Sartin; daughter and son-in-law, Page and Jon Gregory; grandchildren, Ben Sartin, Ellie Sartin, McEwin Sartin, Charlie Sartin, Yancey Sartin, Quentin Gregory and Emmy Gregory; sister and brother-in-law, Gaynelle and Ernest Murray, brother and sisters-in-law, Brannock and Peggy Sue Page, Doris Page and Rachel Page; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Omie Snipes, Rita Perry Rich, Corrina Aldridge and Nora Vaughan; brothers, Columbus Hodge "Lum" Page, Calvin Coolidge "Coot" Page and K.S. "Chuck" Page. The celebration service will be held 4:30pm Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Lakeview Community Church by Rev. Gerald Sanders with burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00pm to 4:30pm prior to the service on Wednesday afternoon. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dixie's caregivers, LeAnn, Dava and Anita and to all the Peak Resources staff for all their loving care that was shown to her during her illness. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lakeview Community Church Family Life Center, 101 Boone Road, Burlington, NC 27217.
