Dink Walker

Dink Walker, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Person County on May 3, 1944 to the late Claybon Ray Walker and Shirley Ford Walker and was the husband of 53 years to Mary Walker who survives.

Dink retired from Alamance Burlington School System and was a member of Glencoe Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, singing at church and spending time with his family.

Survivors other than his wife, Mary Walker include his daughter, Teresa Walker Norris and husband Chris; son, David Dwayne Walker and wife Martie; grandchildren, Caitlin Tanner and husband Michael, Grayson Norris, Christopher Walker and Emily Rose Walker; sisters, Faye Lindley and Connie Frame.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Glencoe Baptist Church by Rev. Darrell Massey and Rev. Larry Cheek with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Glencoe Baptist Church and other times at the residence.
