Dillard May

Dillard May, 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Moses Cone Hospital surrounded by his family.  He was born in Guilford County on September 22, 1927 to the late Geneva Shoe May and Dolph Clark May.
He was a retired tobacco, wheat and corn farmer.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
Dillard is survived by his caregivers, nephew, Howard Dale May and wife Sharon and their daughters, Sarah and Holly May and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Esther May Daniel, Edna May Shoe, Verona May Ward and Ethel May Shoe and brothers, Carl, Warren “Pete”, Howard, Mitchell and Sonny May.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Gilmore Memorial Park by Rev. Allen Myers.  The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory.
