Diane Spaugh

Harkers Island Diane Baker Spaugh, 55, of Harkers Island passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at UNC Hospitals. She was born in Duval County, Florida and was the daughter of the late James Monroe Baker, Jr. and Hallie Mae Overbey Baker who survives. She was married for 35 years to Eddy Grey Spaugh, also surviving. She was a Preschool and Elementary School teacher. She is survived by her husband of the home, daughter, Ashley Spaugh Heyder of New Bern; son, Dustin Grey Spaugh of Harkers Island and brothers, Don Baker of Harkers Island and Leon Baker of Winston-Salem. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Massey. The family will receive friends during the reception following the service.
