Diane McLendon

Diane Whitt McLendon, 74 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 9, 2021.

She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of 47 years to Charlie “Butch” McLendon II who survives.

Diane was a retired LPN after 33 years of service at County and Memorial Hospitals. She was of the Baptist Faith. Diane enjoyed camping and shopping with her family and friends and miniature Dachshunds. She was an avid Tarheel fan and Nascar Fan. Diane was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie “Butch” McLendon II of the home; son, Jay (Sherri) Curtis of Graham; grandchildren, Hunter, Madeline and Grayson Curtis; sister, Carol W. Mitchell of Snow Camp; brother, Howard R. (Lisa) Whitt of Blanch and one special niece, April (Todd) Cutter of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bedford “BB” Brown and Betty Collins Whitt and an infant son, Steven Curtis.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, September 25, 2021at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Jones. The burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45pm prior to the service. The service will be live streamed on the funeral home website below
