Diana Sue Weber Chappell

Diana Sue Chappell (Weber), 65 years of life, went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2023. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on December 17, 1957.

She grew up in the Dominican Republic with an older brother David and younger brother Daniel. Her parents Edith and Vernon Weber were missionaries there. Diana always considered herself to be a Dominican and loved the culture, food and people.

Diana met her husband Donald at Piedmont Bible College in Winston Salem, N.C. They were married in 1981. They had 2 children, Jonathan and Jennifer. Diana worked primarily as a Spanish teacher, bilingual secretary for various companies and schools. Most importantly Diana was a home-maker taking care of her two children.

Diana loved adventures and loved people. Diana loved to host people in her home and was always found in the kitchen, cooking amazing food. Diana loved going on road trips or being at local baseball games with family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Edith Weber of Whitsett, NC, her daughter Jennifer Chappell Kidd (Randy) of Whitsett, NC, her son Jonathan Chappell (Hannah) of Greensboro, N.C, and 6 grandchildren - Corban Chappell, Matthew Kidd, Carson Kidd, Kyla Chappell, Micah Kidd and Kharis Chappell. In addition, she is survived by her brother David Weber (Shelia) of Whitsett, NC and brother Daniel Weber (Kim) of Cortland, OH, a niece Vanessa Weber (Bill) of Estero, FL and a nephew Wesley Weber of Cortland, OH.

Diana was preceded in death by her husband Donald of 20 years, her father Vernon Weber and nephew Jonathan Weber.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Christian Bible Fellowship by Pastors Brian Hill, Javier Pineda, José Aguero and Ramón LeBron.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Monday evening at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and from 10:00-10:45 AM Tuesday prior to the service at Christian Bible Fellowship.  The graveside will be a private family time, following the service.

In lieu of flowers, it was Diana’s wish to have memorial gifts given to the work of the Lord in the Dominican Republic. Gifts may be given to Dominican International Baptist Seminary through Baptist Mid-Missions www.bmm.org
