Deurene Hall Mangrum, 87, died on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born in Jenkins, KY to the late Luther and Anna Hall and was married to the late Reginald Baxter Mangrum. Mrs. Mangrum was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and she retired from A&P Grocery Store in Greensboro. Survivors include her daughters, Annette Solomon and her husband Danny and Cheryl Ann Smith both of Burlington; grandchildren, Ryan Justice, Jimmie Allison Justice, Jr., James Curtis Solomon, Daniel Solomon, Daryl Lee Mangrum, Jr., Misty K. Mangrum, and Joy M. Knighton and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sons, Reginald B. Mangrum, Jr. and Daryl Lee Mangrum and her sister, Nasaretta Bennett. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Monday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Johnny Cameron with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro. The family will receive friends from 2-4 Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the doctors, nurses and staff at Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell.
