Graham, NC Deual Willard Mann, Jr. age 67, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 20 years to Frances Martin Mann who survives. Willard was the owner and operator of Willard Mann Wallpaper Company and a member of Historic Providence Christian Church. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and coached little league football and baseball for several years. Willard was a gifted artist painting both landscapes and people in his spare time. He enjoyed flower gardening, spending time with family and he was an avid Duke fan. Willard was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Frances Martin Mann of the home; daughter, Tonya Warren and her husband, Allen of Burlington; son, Derek Mann and his fiance, Dottie Sumner of Haw River; grandchildren, Megan Warren, Jordan Mann, Alison Warren, Jacob Mann, Hayden Mann, Evan Mann and Savannah Johnson; step sons, Roderic Johnson and his wife, Beth of Hixson, Tennessee; Brandon Johnson of Cullman, Alabama; Mother and Step Father, Ruby Dare Modlin Preston and Canton C. Preston of Burlington; sisters, Betty Mann Copeland and her husband, Donald Glen of Emerald Isle, NC; Cathy Turner and Brenda McVey both of Burlington; brothers, Junior Preston of Haw River, Tommy Mann of Burlington and Roland Mann of Snow Camp and a special niece, Robin David Jordan; special nephews, Tracy Donnelle Copeland and Joshua Preston; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Deual Willard Mann, Sr. and a nephew, Lance Cpl. USMC Johnny Len Copeland killed in action in Beirut. The family would like to thank LuAnn Williams for being a great neighbor and friend during Willards illness your support means more than you know. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Graham Memorial Park by Rev. Darryl Peebles with military honors provided by the US Air Force. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. on Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
