Dennis Short

Dennis Eugene Short, 61, of 3660 Burch Bridge Rd., died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at the Hospice Home after a short illness. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Morris Leonard Short and the late Ruby Davis Short and was married to Beulah Kay Danieley Short, who survives. He was retired from Lance Inc. and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where he was the Treasurer for the Bethel Mens Club. Mr. Short is survived by his wife of the home; a daughter, Karen Short Harrill and her husband, Robert, of Shelby, NC; two grandchildren, Megan Harrill and Robert Harrill; a step son, Jesse Gwynn and his wife, Susan, of Burlington; a step granddaughter, Sadler Gwynn; and a brother, Jerry Short and his wife, Mary, of Level Cross, NC. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, December 12, 2005 at Bethel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Renee Burnette. Entombment will follow at the Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
