Dennis Eastwood

Haw River – Dennis Wayne Eastwood, 62, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Hospice Home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Alamance County on September 4, 1956 to the late Donald “Duck” Eastwood and Grace Robinson Barbee who survives.

Dennis retired as the owner and operator of D.W. Paint Company.  He enjoyed singing, playing his guitar and loved spending time with his grandchildren that he adored; and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors other than his mother, Grace Barbee include his son, Shawn Eastwood and wife, Julie; a daughter, Ashley Bowman and husband, James; grandchildren, Austin Eastwood, Gracie Eastwood, Logan Bowman, Avacyn Bowman and a grandchild on the way; sister, Donna Capps; brothers, James Eastwood and wife Susan, Jeffrey Johnson and wife Irene; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father; an infant daughter, Leslie Ann Eastwood; and his stepfather, Alison “Dick” Barbee.

The family would like to thank his caregiver, Teresa Tart Eastwood for all her loving support and care that she showed to Dennis during his illness.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:30pm Saturday prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory.
