Delores Spire

Delores "Dee" Wilmes Spire, 63, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Hospice Home. She was born January 8, 1952 in Nodaway, MO to the late George Herman and Gertrude Hiatt Wilmes and was married to Paul L. Spire for forty-one years. Dee was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Delores enjoyed growing all types of household plants. Her real joy came from spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband of the home; children, Mike Patricia Spire of Graham, Michelle Mike Walker of Antioch, TN, Melissa Carlos Batista of Winter Haven, FL, Matthew Alimaa Spire of Summerville, SC, Mason Spire Jessica of Graham, Marisa Montgomery of Pittsburg, KS; grandchildren Cody Spire, Austin Brown, Emily Brown, Hailey Batista, Hannah Batista, Ashley Walker, Zoe Walker, Anno Spire, Chaminaa Spire, Sam Castellani, Seth Goff, and Khatandelger Alimaa. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Gertrude, and brother, Bernard Wilmes. Surviving siblings include; Alfred Wilmes of Maryville Mo, Richard Wilmes of Guilford Mo, Raymond Wilmes of Maryville Mo, Rita Stamps of Corning Iowa, Louise O'Connell of Colorado Springs Co, Charles Wilmes of Maryville Mo, Joseph Wilmes of Maryville Mo, Helen Joyce of St Joseph Mo, Gerald Wilmes of Hopkins Mo, Geraldine Ulmer of Wichita Ks, Mary Pauline Bjornsrud of Fort Myers Fla, Phillip Wilmes of Maryville Mo, Thomas Wilmes of Maryville Mo, and Kenneth Wilmes of Maryville Mo. There will be a memorial mass held 11:00 AM Friday May 8, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Rev. Briant Cullinane, O.F.M. Conv. There is also a service planned to be held at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Maryville Mo sometime in the near future. The family will receive friends 10:00 10:45 AM Friday prior to the service.
