Delbert Hicks

Burlington Delbert Ray "Del" Hicks, age 49, of 2323 Pinecroft Dr. passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at Hospice Home. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Waltzie Leroy Hicks, Sr. and the late Glenda Faye Thompson Hicks and the husband of Angela Stewart Hicks. Del was employed as a truck driver for Tommy Flack Trucking. Survivors include his wife Angela Stewart Hicks of the home; daughters, Ashlie Hicks of Bunnell, FL and Julie Jennings and husband Tracy of Augusta, GA; 3 step daughters, Stormy Roberson of Burlington, Ashley Braxton and Jessica Braxton both of the home; eight grandsons and one granddaughter; father and step mother, Waltzie and Pearl Reese Hicks and step father Ed Jones; half sisters, Wendy Poole, Cheryl Perry, Penny Cobb and Lee Dawn Hicks and a half brother, Waltzie Hicks, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 5:00pm Monday, August 20, 2012 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice Home for the special care given to Del.
