Debra Whited

Burlington, NC Debra Leigh Whited, age 52, passed away after a two year battle with cancer on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Debra was a corporate attorney for A T & T, Lucent, General Dynamic and most recently Cisco. She was a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her undergraduate degree and her law degree. Debra enjoyed spending time at the beach and sharing time with her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Daniel Keith Whited of Greensboro and a daughter, Sarah Heath Whited of Chapel Hill; mother and step father, Doris G. Smith Jones Webb and Earl Webb of Lake City, Florida; sister, Pamela Dawn Townsend of Lake City, Florida; former husband, Keith Whited of Burlington and a nephew, Robert Kyle Townsend and a niece, Claire Townsend both of Lake City, Florida. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bud Wrenn. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
