Deborah Ford Sharpe

Mrs. Deborah Ford Sharpe, age 66, of Elon, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Hospice Home after several years of failing health.

     Born in Halifax County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Raymond Ford and the late Nadene Barksdale Ford and was married for over 36 years to Steven Jay Sharpe, who passed in 2018.  She retired from LabCorp after 33 years of service, attended Burlington Assembly of God and volunteered as a teacher assistant.

     Mrs. Sharpe is survived by a sister, Dale (David) Mize; a brother, Tommy (Lisa) Ford; four brothers-in-law, Toby (Amy) Sharpe, Randal (Tiffany) Sharpe, Daryl (Linda) Sharpe and Gary (Louise) Sharpe; a sister-in-law, Reneé Sharpe and fiancé, Buddy Swaney; three goddaughters/nieces, Cara Winecoff, Rebecca Sharpe and Taylor Spell; a great nephew, Benji Winecoff; along with several other nieces and nephews.

     The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Brian Rainbow and Rev. Howard Thompson.  Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 AM Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
