Gibsonville, NC Deborah Allison Sasser, age 32, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 10, 2011 surrounded by her family at home. She was the daughter of Dr. Lynn Sasser and Deborah Mullis Sasser. Allison was a 1997 graduate of Western Alamance High School and attended UNC Wilmington. She was a member of United Love Baptist Church in Midland, NC. Allison received a liver transplant during her senior year of high school and her life was blessed with a new lease on life. She loved animals and was especially fond of her cats. She was an inspiration to her family and friends and is a testament of God's grace. Allison is survived by her parents, Dr. Lynn Sasser and Deborah M. Sasser of Gibsonville; sister, Amy Davis and her husband, Jimmie of Burlington and a brother, Michael Sasser of Haw River; nephew, Jaxton Davis of Burlington and her fianc, Bryan Nealey of Chinquapin; maternal grandmother, Daris Mullis of Concord. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Melvin Mullis and paternal grandparents, Marvin and Frances Sasser. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at United Love Baptist Church located at 11487 Flowes Store Road in Midland and the family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Alamance Memorial Park and other times the family will be at her parents home. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of Alamance-Caswell for their kind and compassionate care for Allison during her illness. They request memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance/Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
