Deborah Lynn Bollinger Reeves, 69, passed away on October 16, 2023, at Wesley Long Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 18, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Deweese Browning Bollinger and Evelyn Elizabeth Erat Bollinger and was married for over 45 years to the late Steven Douglas Reeves.
With immense talent and drive, Deborah pursued a fulfilling career as a research analyst for Replacements Limited for an impressive span of 33 years. Prior to her relocation to North Carolina, she served the Motor Vehicle Administration for the State of Maryland. Her contributions and expertise in her field were highly regarded by her colleagues.
Outside of her professional life, Deborah had a rich tapestry of interests and passions. She found solace in delving into the world of literature, frequently indulging in reading various genres. Additionally, she possessed a keen interest in genealogy and spent significant time researching her family tree—an admirable skill that earned her the title of the family's historian. Deborah had an amazing memory that allowed her to connect generations through stories of shared heritage.
Deborah's fervor for bargain shopping led to the discovery of countless treasures hidden among everyday items. Her eye for spotting unique finds made every shopping expedition an exciting adventure. Moreover, she cultivated an impressive talent for gardening and had a deep love for flowers. The beauty she created with her green thumb brought joy not only to her own life but also to those around her.
Deborah is survived by her sisters: Judy Ward and her husband Jesse, Eileen Anderson and her husband Robert, who passed in 2014, Denise Garber and her husband Rob. Deborah's nieces and nephews—Donna Fenzel and her husband Mark, Lori Robinson, Kristin Harrod and her husband Tommy, and Rob Garber and his wife Regina—will forever cherish the memories they created with their beloved aunt. In addition, she leaves behind one great-niece and three great-nephews who admired her deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
There will be a private graveside service to celebrate Deborah’s life.
