David Willard

Burlington – David Lee Willard passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2020 just six days short of his 60th birthday.  He was born in Alamance County on December 10, 1960 to the late Grady Lee Towe and Leona Pierce Willard and was the husband of 20 years to Sherry Hundley Willard of the home.

David worked for Cone Mills and attended West Burlington Church of God.  He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes as well as fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry; daughter, Gena Heber (Rob); stepdaughter, Jessica Way (Travis), Crystal Alexander; stepson, T.J. White (Stephanie); grandchildren, Cannon and Clayton Heber, Luke Way, William, Dallas, Shelena and Aidan Alexander, Jillian and Kelsea White and a sister, Kathy Wade (Ronald).

A service to celebrate David’s life will be held 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at West Burlington Church of God with the burial to follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery.  He will be available for viewing from 2-5pm at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
