David Hockenberger

Caswell County, NC David William Hockenberger, 55, died on Friday, November 9, 2012. He was the husband of 31 years to Beverly Miles Hockenberger and father to Evan William Hockenberger and Kaitlyn Louise Hockenberger, of Caswell County. David was a member of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church where he sang in the choir. He was a current member of the Burlington Velo Club and a regular participant in various charity bike rides. He was also a former member of the National Ski Patrol. In addition to his wife and children, David is survived by his parents, Robert William and Theresa Duplantis Hockenberger of Raleigh, NC and his sister, Cynthia Morris and her husband, Arthur of Raleigh, NC. He was a loving and devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Burlington, NC. The service will be officiated by The Rev. Adam J. Shoemaker, Rector. Immediately following the service the family will be available in the Great Hall for a time of remembrance. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in David's name to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
