Burlington David Randolph Eubank, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Hospice Home surrounded by his family. He was born in Wake County and was the son of the late John William and Myrtle Fitzgerald Eubank. Mr. Eubank was a member of St. Marks Church and a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran of WWII from 1943 through 1946. His career with the Life Insurance Company of Virginia began in1954 in Norfolk, VA. Beginning as a sales agent, he successfully rose to the position of Senior Vice President. He was a Chartered Life Underwriter, CLU. He retired with Life of Virginia in 1980. David enjoyed nature and gardening. He enjoyed sharing the bounty of his vegetable garden with all his neighbors and friends. He always said he would love to be a gardener in Heaven, hoping God had a place for him. He was a former member of St. Marks Church Discipleship Ministry, Prayer Ministry and serving his church as needed. He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Al) Rowe of Chesapeake, VA, Terri (Al) Boswell of Burlington; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one brother, Robert E. Eubank of Macon, GA. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Dorothy Elizabeth Eubank; four siblings and one grandson. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ben Bishop. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home of his daughter, Terri.
