David Allred

David Park Allred, age 69, of Elon, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell following several months of failing health.

Born in Guilford County, he was the son of the late Thomas Lee Allred, Sr. and the late Margaret Park Allred.  David was a former fireman for the Burlington Fire Department and later was employed with Cone Mills for over 20 years.  He had a “heart of gold” and was always willing to help anyone he could.

Mr. Allred is survived by his brother, Thomas L. Allred, Jr. and his wife, Susie, of Gibsonville and three nephews, Brian Winn, Allen Allred and Chris Allred.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jo Ann Allred Winn; and two nieces, Diane Craven and Elaine Winn.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Massey.  The family will receive friends following the service in the chapel
