David Alan Dixon, 66, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at his residence. A native of Alamance County, he was born October 17, 1956 to the late William Harold Dixon, Sr. and Alma Mae Foster Dixon and was the husband of the late Penny Dixon.
David worked in textiles most of his career and retired from McMichael Mills. He enjoyed fishing, golf and was an avid UNC Tarheel fan. Most of all he loved and cherished his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Dustin Dixon; daughter, Ashley Dixon; grandchildren, Noah Dixon, Tyler Dixon, Paytin Dixon, Bentley Williams; stepsons, Kenny Wright and wife Alex and Michael Wright and wife Danielle; step grandchildren, Trenton Wright and Kolton Wright; brothers, Harold Dixon, Jr. and wife Susan, Eric Dixon and wife Kelli; sisters, Carolyn Zimmerman and husband Mike, Terry Dixon and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at his brother, Harold’s home at 202 Driftwood Dr. in Gibsonville from 2-4pm on Sunday, April 30, 2023.
