Darwin Lee Dierks

Darwin Lee Dierks born in Clinton, Iowa on August 18, 1932 and died on April 15, 2024 at Alamance Health Care Center, age 91, after a long illness. He was the son of the late Virtus Dierks and the late Louise Depape Dierks of Iowa. 

 Darwin was married for 54 years to Linda Noah Dierks of Alamance County, who survives. They have one daughter, Karla Marie and one grandson, River Noah Medlin of Carrboro. He has one sister, Joan Dierks Kerr of Ormond, Beach, Florida.

 Darwin was a longtime Radio announcer for WBIG in Greensboro and he later retired from The Times Newspaper in Burlington. He enjoyed baseball and attending horse racing in West Virginia and Kentucky. He was a kind and gentle man, loved by all who knew him. Darwin will be greatly missed. A private family celebration of his life was held in his memory.
