Darlene Campbell Moize, 56, passed away peacefully at her home on November 28, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Darlene leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and an unwavering commitment to family.

Darlene was born June 24, 1968 in Alamance County. As a scheduler at Preferred Primary Care, Darlene was not only dedicated to her work but also endeared herself to her patients, many of whom looked forward to their interactions with her. Her easygoing nature made her a beloved figure in the office and in the lives of those she served.

Darlene was a woman of many passions. She loved spending time with her family, finding joy in every moment shared. Her smile would light up any room and she treated everyone she met with kindness. Whether it was decorating her home throughout the seasons, traveling, camping, or simply enjoying the serene beauty of her lake house at White Lake, her zest for life was infectious. She also was a proud member of Grace Chapel.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Moize, and her two children, Kendall Boone and fiancée Lashonda, and Kennedy Cox and husband Brandon; and stepchildren, Barry Moize and his fiancé April Scott, and Jeannie Shaw and her husband Rock. She eagerly awaited the arrival of her grandson, Barrett Gregory Cox, due in January, and also took great pride in her stepgrandchildren, Brittany Thompson, MyKayla Adams, Roby Wolfe, and Lilly Hanks. She is also survived by her mother, Mona Owen Coble; brothers, Derrick Campbell and wife Phyllis and Doug Campbell and wife Dana; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Glen Campbell; her brother, David Campbell; and her grandparents, Charlie and Grace Owen.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 PM on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. A celebration of Darlene’s life will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Gibsonville City Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the angels who have helped to care for Darlene during her illness and to the doctors and nurses at Cone Cancer Center in Burlington that treated her as if she were part of their family. Their care and compassion extend beyond the word “caregiver” and we are forever grateful for your kindness and friendship.
