Haw River, NC Darlene Mae McAdams Ayer, age 68, passed away on Monday, march 16, 2009 at her home. She was a native of Jefferson County, Pennsylvania and the daughter of the late Ronald Warner Pasquerette and Ethel Mae Kennedy Pasquerette who survives. Darlene was employed previously with McDonalds for over 17 years and most recently at Walmart. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Dawn Michelle Smith and her husband, Greg of Haw River and Darlene Ann Rose of Annapolis, Maryland; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Wayne Rose, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of La Plata, Maryland, Jimmy Lee Rose and his wife, Karen of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, Jessy Lee Rose and his wife Buttons of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, Tony Wayne Rose and his wife Terri of Hughesville, Maryland; twelve grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; mother, Ethel Mae Kennedy Pasquerette of Snow Camp; sisters, Debra Leigh Pasquerette of Hollywood, California, Barbara McAdams Isley of Snow Camp and a brother, Joseph Eugene McAdams of Phrump, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her father and a granddaughter, Jacqueline Suzanne Rose. The family of Darlene Ayer would like to express their appreciation to the staff and nurses of Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of their mother. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church by Rev. Nathan Hooks and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of her daughter, Dawn Smith.
