Dannie Lamm, Sr.

Elon, NC Dannie Ray Lamm, Sr. age 63, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at VA Hospital in Durham. Dannie was a native of Johnston County and the son of the late Daniel Lee and Geraldine Jernigan Lamm. Dannie was the owner and operator of his own construction business. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving 2 tours in the Vietnam War. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his daughter, Juanita Routh and husband, Joel of Burlington, sons, Danny Ray Lamm, Jr. of Florida, Billy Lee Lamm of Burlington and his fiance, Karen Collie also of Burlington, Rodney Lee Lamm and wife, Chelsey Nance Lamm of Elon, grandchildren, Cody Michelle Harvill, Haley Tutor, Tristin Lamm, Faith Jernigan, Caileigh Lamm, Caleb Routh; step grandchildren, Hailey Collie, Nathan Collie, Duke Collie; great grandchild, Brennen Harvill; sister, Dorothy Locklear of Garner ; Aunt Mae and Uncle William Lamm of Gibsonville; former wife, Barbara Lamm of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donnie Lamm and a sister, Linda Stanley. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:00pm at POWER Point Fellowship Church by Rev. Jerry Langley. Military honors will be provided by the US Navy.
