Gibsonville – Daisy “Mollie” King Joyce, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Guilford County and the daughter of the late Stiner William and Sallie Bogus Gerringer King. She was the wife of 57 years to Henry “Sammy” Samuel Joyce who survives.
Mollie retired from ABB after 20 years of service. She was a member of Hope River Church formerly Brown’s Wesleyan Church. She was a member of the Senior’s Sunday School Class at the church. Mollie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Henry “Sammy” Joyce of the home; daughters, Cynthia (David) Sledge and Tracie (David) Morrison both of Gibsonville; sons, Sidney Joyce and Thomas Joyce both of Gibsonville and Jeffrey (Laura) Joyce of Greensboro; grandchildren, Lou Anne Boger, Linda Whittington, Danny Howell, Henry Joyce, Bo Joyce, Brock Howell, Hope Feely, Christopher Joyce, Cameron Southern and Ashley Joyce; and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Tula Willard, Frankie Burnette, Betty Graham and Linda Atkins and a brother, Bobby King.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11:00am at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Larry Pope and Rev. Larry Andrews. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be a public viewing from 1-5pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. The service will be live streamed on the funeral home website listed below.
