Daisy Dean May
Burlington-Daisy Dean May, 95 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Twin Lakes surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Lacy Frank May
Daisy retired from Glen Raven Mills and was a long time member of People's Memorial Christian Church. She was a volunteer with Hospice of Alamance-Caswell for many years . She is survived by her daughter, Toni May Fogleman and husband, Paul of Liberty; grandson, Eric Dean Kernodle and wife, Juli of Westerville, OH; granddaughters, Kimberly Simmons Gammon and husband, Jeff and Kelly Simmons Davis and husband, Anthony all of Burlington, Kristy Guthrie and husband, Luke of Liberty; great grandchildren, Steven (Kami) Gammon, Chelsea Gammon, Will Davis, Lacy Blair Davis, Olivia LoGuidice ,Owen Kernodle, Allison Moore, Brooke Moore and Blake Moore; great great grandchildren, Gabe Gammon and Hanna Gammon; host of loved nieces and nephews and a special friend, Alfred Wright.
She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Carolyn Jean May Kernodle; great grandson, Brandon Stuart; mother and step father, Mary Magdalene Brooks Sykes and Roy T. Sykes; sons-in-law, Freddie Simmons and Marvin Kernodle; brother, Clinton Dickey and a sister, Thelma Dickey.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 11:00 am at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by her family and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at her daughter's home, 10777 NC Hwy 49 South, Liberty, NC 27298.
