Elon – Cynthia “Cindy” Diana Walker, 52, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Hospice Home. She was a native of Caswell County and the daughter of the late Cecil Webb and Sylvia Jean Walker Walker who survives.
Cindy was a special lady who made an impact on her family and community. She attended Caswell County Schools and graduated with a certificate. She most recently attended Starpoint Day Programs a division of Ralph Scott Life Services. She was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. Cindy loved going to church, watching games shows and eating at McDonalds. She also enjoyed shopping “Retail Therapy” and music and was an avid Dallas Cowboy football fan.
She is survived by her mother, Sylvia Walker of the home; uncles, Joe Walker, Phil Walker and Scott (Daryl) Walker; aunt, Billie Walker and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Webb Walker; grandparents, George W. and Murrell R. Walker and Lloyd W. and Rena L. Walker; aunts, Pat Walker, Betty Jean Walker and Francis King; uncles, Houston “Butch” Walker, Leonard King and Allen Walker.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 2:00pm at Pilgrim Chapel Baptist Church by brother Roger Moricle and the burial will follow at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at her Uncle’s home, Joe Walker.
I would like to sincerely thank the following for their excellent care for Cindy. Dr. Ernest B. Eason, Family doctor over 24 years. Dr. Lee, Kathy (PT), Holly (OT), and other doctors at Physical Medicine Rehab UNC Chapel Hill. Laura Hill and Staff at Lindley. I am thankful to God for the prayers, love and kindness shown to Cindy over the years. You have truly been a blessing to us, and we are thankful: Pastor Mike Jones, Brother, Roger Moricle, Pastor W. D. Allison and Pastor Bill Easter. We have a large family on both sides. Our family has always included Cindy in all family gatherings. A very special thank you to all Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and great neighbor who has always been there for us, Mack Wilson and his late wife, Marinda. We sincerely appreciate all the love, thoughtfulness and kindness expressed to Cindy.
