Curtis Powers, Sr.

Haw River, NC Curtis Lee Powers, Sr. age 54, of 2703 Clifford Ray Road died on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at his home. He was the husband of Lora James Powers who survives. Curtis was a self-employed contractor and an avid Nascar fan. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife of the home; daughters, Tracy Powers of Greensboro and Wendy Powers of Fredericksburg, Virginia; sons, Curtis Lee Powers, Jr. of Greensboro, Danny Bateman, Jr. and Tina Cagle of Graham, Ricky Bateman of Burlington; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; parents, Bobby and Edna Rouse McCallie of Lynwood, North Carolina; sister, Jennifer Bennette and her husband, Carlton of Lexington, NC. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ruth Rouse. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Delton Agnor. The family will receive friends from 12:15 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
