Crystal Wood

Mebane - Crystal Dawn Brewer Wood, 57, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 at Duke University Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Alamance County on September 25, 1959 to the late Kenneth Rayvon Brewer and Lucy Charles Graves Brewer and was the wife of nearly 25 years to Donald Thomas Wood of the home.
Crystal was a longtime member of Providence Christian Church and a member of the Ella Holt Women's Circle. She graduated from Southern Alamance High School. She loved spending time at the beach and enjoyed making crafts in her spare time. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Donald of the home; daughters, Brandy Ward and husband Jonathan, Patience Altman and husband Brad; grandsons, Thomas Altman and Waymon Ward; brothers, Chuck Brewer and wife Cathy and Kenneth Brewer; sisters, Tamara Almeyda and husband Angel, Rena Biszanski; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
A celebration of Crystal's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Historic Providence Christian Church, 819 N Main St, Graham, NC 27253.
