Corrinna McAdams Brewer

Ms. Corrinna McAdams Brewer passed away on Friday, May 10 th . She was born October 2 nd , 1929, to Nannie Bell and Banks McAdams in Orange County where she grew up and graduated from Aycock High School before moving to Burlington. She raised five children, Jean Lane (Bill), Brenda Brewer, Kay Sykes (Danny), Dee Murphy (Frank), and Robert Brewer (Patricia). In addition to her children, she leaves behind her six grandchildren, Russel Lane, Sandra Bays, Tracy Ellingson, Jessica Brewer, Thurman Murphy, and Wesley Brewer as well as seven great-grandchildren. Corrinna was preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters Margie Modlin and Dot Shields.

She had a career in the hosiery industry and upon retiring went back to work for a family business. She enjoyed working and socializing with customers in her retirement job. Not fully retiring until she was almost ninety, she loved being surrounded by others and her home had an open door. She spent a life surrounded by those she loved and who loved her. Corrinna was a lady who took care of everyone, and she will be tremendously missed by those she loved and cared for. 

Her family will celebrate her ninety-four years of life with a graveside service at 11AM on Friday, May 17 th by Pastor Leon Waddell at Alamance Memorial Park. The family would like to express a thank you to Authoracare Hospice for their loving care.
