Cornelia McDaniel Boswell

     Mrs. Cornelia May McDaniel Boswell, age 93, formerly of Staley-Boswell Rd., passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at her daughter’s home after a brief illness.

     Born in Danville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson McDaniel and the late Bertha May McDaniel and was married for over 57 years to Staley Burl Boswell, who passed in 2008.  She was a career homemaker and a longtime member of Kerr’s Chapel Baptist Church.  She enjoyed gardening, helping with the farm and cooking.

     Mrs. Boswell is survived by her daughter, Michele Boswell; her son, Ronnie Boswell and wife, Debbie; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister and a brother.

     A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Kerr’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Paul Traywick.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 AM Thursday morning in the church fellowship hall prior to the service.  It is the family’s request that all that attend the service come in casual dress.
