Clyde Wayne Quick, aged 69, of Burlington, died Monday, June 18, 2018, at The Hospice Home of Alamance, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and his dogs.
Clyde was born on June 27, 1948 in Henderson, NC to the late John Bruce Quick and late Mary Alvin Burke Quick. He attended Louisburg College and graduated from the School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1971. He had practiced pharmacy in Burlington since 1979 when he began working for Asher-McAdams. Clyde went on to work at May Pharmacy and then Medical Village Apothecary, where he was the pharmacist manager at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Williams Quick, his sons, Jonathan Bruce Quick and Brian Christopher Quick, sister, Alice Smith (Dave), brother, Floyd, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his dogs, Addie, Angus, and Maggie. He enjoyed going to his cabin in Boomer, NC. He loved his family, his dogs, his friends, and nature. Clyde never missed an opportunity to help someone. To know him was to love him.
The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6 pm until 8 pm on Friday evening, June 22. A celebration of life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, June 23 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Reid Dickens.
Memorials may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
