Clyde Gann

McLeansville - Clyde Donald Gann, 62, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Duke University Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Guilford County on November 10, 1955 to the late Linear Donald Gann and Isidra Marmeto Gann who survives. He was the husband to Billie Semiklose Gann of 31 years who survives.

Clyde earned his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from NC State University and enjoyed a successful business career. His career started with AT&T in many engineering and marketing positions. He managed major programs for Lucent Bell Laboratories and held the position of President, Lucent Technical Service Company and Director of Lucent Business Operations Government Support Team for many years. Clyde completed his 33 year career with LGS Innovations in various Management and Business Development positions in support of US Government agencies such as DARPA. He was most recently employed at Cogent Analytics as a Project Director.

Clyde was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. He was an avid NC State fan, enjoyed playing golf, boating, water skiing, playing his guitar, watching all kinds of sports and spending time with his family.

Survivors other than his wife, Billie Gann include his sons, William "Will" Gann and Benjamin "Ben" Gann; mother, Isidra Marmeto Gann; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Mary Lib Gann, Jay and Anna Gann, and Danny Gann; aunts and uncles, Barbara and Arnold Williams, Willie and Mildred Gann, Fred Lee Gann and Lucille Tague; sisters-in-law, Eve Sullivan and husband, Jim, Carolyn Black and husband, John; several nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Cooper.

The funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church located on Burlington Road by Rev. Andrew Brown and Rev. Jim Allred with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Friday evening in the fellowship hall at Mt. Pleasant U.M.C. and other times at the residence.
