Clyde Burnett

Clyde Walter Burnett, 63, of Burlington passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at the Hospice Home. He was born in Wythe County, Virginia to the late Clyde W. Burnett, Sr. and the late Mary Crowder Burnett. He was married for 42 years to Geraldine Carter Burnett who survives. Clyde was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of the home, daughters, Darlene Patrick O'Byrne, Angie Walker, and June Burnett, all of Burlington; sons, Danny Duckworth of Burlington and Ricky Tammy Duckworth of Snow Camp; special grandson, Leonard Danielle Inskip; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, David Duckworth, granddaughter, Crystal Duckworth, sister, Sue Hillard and brother, Roger Burnett. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Dwight Dameron with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home and at other times at the home. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to all the nurses and staff at Hospice who took such good care Mr. Burnett.
